A drive from the 1940s or 1950s was built for one light car, not for today's vehicles. Tree roots lift it, the base under it has thinned and the edges have crumbled. We remove the old surface, cut out roots and soft ground where needed, compact rock in layers, then place hot mix, typically 2 to 3 inches compacted. The apron at the street gets extra base so it stops sinking.

We grade so water clears to an inlet instead of pooling at the low corner, build the base heavier where vehicles enter and turn, and keep stall layout sensible for the footprint. Lots with a sound base get crack filling, patching and seal coating.
Parking lot pavingShared private drives, condominium access lanes and the short service roads behind buildings get the same treatment as any street: compacted base, crowned surface, clean tie-in at the public road. Where a delivery truck makes the same turn every week, the section gets built thicker. Trail and park access pavement gets graded so it drains rather than holds water.
